Miss Trooper

November 19, 2016 by

Miss Trooper was about the best dog that I could ever have.  And Matthew was a great co-owner.  Trooper was never without someone by her side.

Miss Trooper adopted us, and we were lucky to have her.  Once she came into our life, there was no way we were going to give her up. She quickly became part of our tribe and had a forever family.

She had many doggie friends, and many kitty friends, and many human friends.  She was loveable, friendly (once you got to know her) loyal, playful, entertaining, but also protective. She loved swimming in creeks or lakes, and love to play ball.  We would have to spell out P A R K or L A K E. She also liked going to the pool during dog days. She could pull me on the skateboard, and ride along side of a bike. But most of all she liked being with us. Camping traveling, or just going to the store, she was always up for a ride.

She traveled to the east coast several times, to PA and NY, West VA, and more.  She also went on many vacations to AZ, where she loved the kitties, chickens, and the turkey, and of course her doggie friends out there.

She was also stealh and stealing what leftovers were in the kitchen, to scarfing up a few brats left over at a party. She would steal your chair if you got up out of it. She was also a bed hog, stretching out in all directions.

I will miss our mornings together I would wake up and start scratching her, then move into the part of her back that tckled her…. she would just smile, with one tooth hanging out and stretch until she couldn’t stand it any more… if you stopped, she would wag her tail or paw you.  She always wanted to be with one of us, following us around the house, but not in an annoying way… just to be in the same room or outside. She had some great smiles, and dog park happy. She was quiet in the car, unless we were getting near to a place she like, then she would really get excited.

She was very sensitive, and very intuitive.  She was a protector, but kind and gentle, never jumping on anyone, but maybe knoking you over trying to get the ball. She loved playing ball, and I loved having someone to throw to daily… gonna miss that dog.

Your beloved pet is sick

The diagnosis and subsequent prognosis aren't good. Now is the time to contemplate advanced animal hospice care or putting your pet to sleep (euthanasia). But where do you turn for help? What are the next steps? How do you make this final period of your companion’s life as peaceful as possible? Read more...
